Coconut Burfi – Indian Dessert Recipe | Quick & Easy To Make Recipe
Today I will be showing you how to make coconut burfi. This is a very popular Indian sweet and is one of the oldest sweets prepared in India during the time of any festival like Holi or MahaShivratri. It is very easy to prepare at home. You need just few ingredients and does not take much of your time. It really comes out quite delicious and yummy. Plate this burfi in the form of a watermelon.
Dessicated coconut: 150 gms
Condensed Milk: 200 gms
Cardamom Powder: 1/4 tsp
Ghee/Clarified Butter: 1 tbsp
Extra Sugar (if required only)
1/2 tsp-liquid green food colour
1 tsp-liquid red food colour
some chocochips to garnish
1. In a thick vessel, dry roast the coconut, for just 2 to 3 minutes till it gives out a good aroma.
2. Add the condensed milk to it and mix nicely. Taste for right amount of sweetness.
3. Add some more powdered sugar if required. When mixture becomes dry, add some ghee to it. Stir well.
4.Add the cardomom powder and mix well
5.Switch off the flame after 4-5 minutes.
6. Plate it as per your choice. Coconut barfi is ready.
