I'll have to try this. I can't stand how much sugar is in store bought ketchup. Plus, you have me addicted to using dates as a sweetner now! ;-)

you can make a healthier TANGY fermented version, using ROMA tomatoes (non acidic) sun dried tomatoes (more lycopene for skin cancer protection) ACV, mild chilli plus shallots, ever wonder why they have acidity regulator in tomato not meant to put that many together..Roma tomato's not only are tastier but fare better for arthritis need ferments, MOST disease begins in the gut.

I think this is fantastic or as any Brit would say "brilliant".  People would absolutely freak if they knew how much sugar is in commercially produced ketchup, like Heinz.  and Americans wonder why they can't loose weight when they are so clueless the amount of sugar manufacturers use in all processed foods.

  16. Thank you for such a delicious recipe!

  26. Tina says:

Finally an easy recipe for home-made ketchup, thank you! I use ketchup all the time and buy this organic locally made brand with no preservatives but let's be honest, nothing can beat home-made stuff. By the way, my family is addicted to your salad dressing! It also works as a perfect substitute for vegan mayo.

  27. santi santi says:
