Quinoa Salad Recipe – plant based – healthy side dishes – how to cook quinoa – vegan



I have been getting quite a few requests for a quinoa salad recipe on the channel by many of you guys that are on plant based diets. I figured it was way overdue to do a segment on how to make quinoa salad as part of our healthy side dishes and vegan recipes section. Even though on the package it usually has the instructions on how to cook quinoa, there is not a lot of quinoa recipes on the box or package. I have been cooking this tasty grain for quite some time before it really became popular since some of my friends from South America ate it often. Quinoa is loaded with all kinds of nutrients, fiber, and even protein. Excellent super food to include in our healthy recipe channel list of recipes. This is also a vegan friendly recipe that can be made on a tight budget.

Ingredients:
1/2 a bell pepper
1/2 a red onion
2 roma tomatoes
2 tblsp of butter
1 carrot
1 lime
1 cup string beans
Crushed red pepper flakes to taste
1/2 cup fetta cheese
2 cups of quinoa
1 tblsp of marjoran
2 tbsp minced fresh parsley
1 tblsp minced basil
1 spring onion or scallion
1/2 tblsp garlic salt
4 cups of water
