5 Cups AP Flour
1/2 C Whole Milk
5 T Sugar
6T Unsalted Butter
1 C Hot Water
1 T Instant Yeast
Mix and knead ingredients, let sit in a covered, greased bowl for one hour, until about doubled
Break off a small portion of the dough and reserve. Punch down and roll remaining dough in a ball, place into greased round pan, with a nice high edge.
Use reserved dough to create decoration for the loaf, decorate, and cover one more. Let rise 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350, and brush a mixture of one egg and a splash of milk over the top of the risen dough. Sprinkle with sugar, and bake for 35-40 minutes!
